[01]Who we are

Hiring Radar is run by Ethan Warner, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, trading as Hiring Radar. Ethan is the “controller” of your personal information: the person responsible for it under UK data protection law.

For anything about your information, email support@hiring-radar.app.

[02]What we keep

  • Your account: your name, work email, firm and role (if you give it), and records of when you log in.
  • How you use Hiring Radar: the companies you track, your alert settings and title rules, the alerts and reports we send you, your credit history, and roles you mark as not relevant.
  • Forms: what you send us through Request access or the team enquiry form (name, work email, firm, role, team size, regions, markets and any note).
  • Emails: whether the emails we send you were delivered, and anything you send to our support address.
  • Login cookie: a small file that keeps you logged in (see [08]).

Hiring Radar is built on job adverts that companies publish. We don't collect or keep the names or contact details of hiring managers or other people named in them.

[03]Why we use it

  • To run the service you signed up for (your account, alerts, emails, credits, reports and Excel files). The legal basis is our agreement with you.
  • To answer requests and enquiries, and decide who to invite to the beta. The legal basis is taking steps you asked for before an agreement, and our legitimate interest in running the business.
  • To keep Hiring Radar secure and working, prevent misuse and enforce our terms. The legal basis is our legitimate interests.
  • To improve the service, for example using “not relevant” marks to improve matching. The legal basis is our legitimate interests.
  • To meet legal duties, such as keeping accounting records once we take payments.

We don't sell your information, and we don't send marketing emails without your agreement.

[04]Who helps us

A small number of trusted service providers handle information for us, only to provide their service and under contracts that protect it:

  • Hosting and database: runs the website and the service and stores your account. Your account data is stored in the European Union (Ireland).
  • Email delivery: sends our emails to you.
  • Email and domain services: our domain, and the inbox that receives support emails and form submissions.
  • Artificial intelligence: reads job adverts to sort them by role. We don't send it your personal details.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or with a buyer if the business is ever sold, in which case we'll tell you first.

[05]Outside the UK

Some of our service providers are based in, or use computers in, the United States, so your information may be handled there. When it is, it's protected by safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK-US data bridge or the standard contract terms approved by the Information Commissioner.

[06]Keeping it safe

Access is limited to what each part of the service needs: you can only see your own account, alerts and credits. Information is encrypted while it travels over the internet.

[07]How long we keep it

  • Your account: while it's open. When you close it, we delete your information within 30 days, apart from anything we must keep by law (for example, accounting records for six years once we take payments).
  • Requests and enquiries that don't lead to an account: 12 months.
  • Support emails: up to 24 months.

[08]Cookies

We only use the cookies needed to keep you logged in and the site working. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, so there's nothing to accept or decline.

[09]Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your information, or send it to you in a format you can reuse;
  • correct anything that's wrong;
  • delete your information, or close your account;
  • stop or limit how we use it, or object to a use based on our legitimate interests.

Email support@hiring-radar.app. We'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

[10]Who it's for

Hiring Radar is for recruitment professionals and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
